Double Girder Electric Overhead Travelling s (DGEOTCs) are heavier versions of their single girder cousins. DGEOTCs are made up of two girders laid side by side instead of one, with a hoist running in between, thereby allowing for larger capacities (typically from 10 tonnes up to 100 tonnes and greater) and greater spans (up to and beyond 30m). Similar to SGEOTCs, DGEOTCs have 6 axes of motion.

The standard DGEOTC hoist travels between the girders, therefore its hook can effectively lift very close to the girder. A second hoist may also be installed on the girder for certain application such as tandem lifting of bulky loads or for load rotation such as turning or pouring.
